When you use the search box, try advanced search and place one or two words that you know are in your organization name, then search in a state or within XXX miles of your Zip Code, or by other combinations.  This will allow you to avoid missing your name.  You can still browse by key words for special interest organization types.

"Featured Locations" are for States having more than 7,500 nonprofit organizations at risk of losing their tax exempt status on Oct 15, 2010 per IR 2010-87.  The full browsing list by state is available by clicking here or at the bottom of the featured list, or by using detailed searches above.

• and others - be patient in the pop up window.  This purge list has over 300,000 potential organizations to sort. 

The organizations listed are identified in IR 2010-87 as requiring action to retain their tax exempt status. The IRS warns, however, that the list may be incomplete, and that certain organizations may be at risk even though their names don't appear. In addition, the list may include organizations that were required to file Form 990 or Form 990-PF and so aren't eligible for the relief program, as well as organizations whose filing dates have not yet occurred. The IRS advises that donors who contribute to at-risk organizations are protected until this final revocation list is published.
